About Us
SJM Carpentry & Building was founded in 2001 by qualified carpenter Sam Macdonald.
In the past 16 years, SJM has emerged as one of South Australia's leading regional builders, working on more than 300 new home, renovation and commercial projects in the Mid North of the state. See a selection of our work in the Gallery.
SJM employed its first apprentice in the company's first year of business and since then has kick started the careers of nine young tradespeople. The business currently employs more than 20 staff across a spectrum of business and trade roles: administration, finance, project management, team leadership, carpentry, machine operation, masonry, trades assistance and plaster board flushing. The business also has access to 30 qualified trade subcontractors.
