SJM Carpentry and Building is committed to supporting the Clare Valley by providing local employment, and through the training of the next generation of Clare Builders. From SJM Carpentry and Building’s first year of business, they have provided apprenticeship training for 9 young tradespeople. Sam draws on his rugby-playing experience to foster a strong sense of trust, respect and camaraderie amongst his staff.

Founded by qualified carpenter Sam MacDonald in 2001, and providing employment for nearly 50 local staff and tradespeople, SJM Carpentry and Building draws on this expertise and personnel to ensure the finished product meets your needs. SJM Carpentry and Building is also happy to collaborate with your architect or building designer during the planning phase and throughout the building process. When the specifications of a project are defined from the start, it allows for the most cost-effective and time-efficient outcome.

At the start of a project, one of SJM Carpentry and Building's project managers will work with you to clearly outline your building specifications. This involves looking at the bigger picture, as well as outlining the finer details, such as paint colours, fittings and fixtures.
